A day at the lake.

"Gerrry", said Gretta, it is such a nice day, I was thinking that we should go to the lake and have dinner at that nice new place. I talked to Stef and she said she would ask Bob."
"Awww, babe, I worked all week, I am sort of looking forward to relaxing at home and you know Bob hates to go out.."

"Well, Stef said that they would go ..but if you don't want to go, dear, I will just put my nice new dress back in the closet...I.."

"Come on babe, don't feel bad you know that Bob is going to say "No". He told me that he was going to read a new history book today that he just found in the library and then clean some guns." said Grrr.

"Well, Stef said they were going and enjoy the view of the lake and then listen to music in the square..."replied Gretta

Just then the phone rang...Gretta picked it up. "Hello Stef, No..Gerrr is tired and..you are? Well I am sure it will be nice. Hold on for a minute dear," Gretta turned to Grrr, See they are going and .."

 Grrr took one look at Gretta's  pretty green face and his great rexian heart melted.
"Ok. Babe, you know it is a nice day and it is always good to see Bob and Stef."

"Stef, Gerrr, changed his mind , isn't he wonderful ? We will meet at your house and go to the lake together

"Wonderful, said Stef, Bob was feeling a bit bookish and said  something about those old guns, but he would not want to disappoint everyone. See you and Grrr at 2:30.

As the four friends sat over drinks at dinner. Bob looked at Grrr and said. "You know old reptile, this is a nice place, going out today was a fine idea".

As the two guys clicked cup and can in salute,  the two wives looked at each other and smiled.
