Churchill was right
Churchill was right to fight WW ll.
Like it or not the Empire was lost, the last chances Britain had to remain THE world power were the American civil war and the Franco Prussian war. But there were social historical reasons that made Britain act as she did. Could Britain have gone in with the South after 1863 or aided France in 1869? No I dont think they could and more the men running England did not think that they could.So Germany unless stopped was going to dominate Europe as some say she now does and Britain without a strong ally...well just a matter of time..Englishmen have known that since 1588. Yes he may have had Jewish friends who loaned him money..and Winston did live like a lord. But his first love was and always would be Britain and as a student of history, he took the long view.
