Why do they want to disarm the people?

"Not everyone will have to abide by Senator Dianne Feinstein's gun control bill. If the proposed legislation becomes law, government officials  will be exempt."

"Mrs. Feinstein's measure would exempt more than 2,200 types of hunting and sporting rifles; guns manually operated by bolt, pump, lever or slide action; and weapons used by government officials, law enforcement and retired law enforcement personnel," the Washington Times reports.

The Huffington Post confirms these exemptions, and adds that guns owned prior to the legislation becoming law will be permissable, too. "[T]he bill includes a number of exemptions: It exempts more than 2,200 hunting and sporting weapons; any gun manually operated by a bolt, pump, lever or slide action;

The bill's measures include stopping "the sale, manufacture and importation of 158 specifically named military-style firearms and ammunition magazines that hold more than 10 rounds.
It would also ban an additional group of assault weapons that accept detachable ammunition magazines and have at least one military characteristic," according to the Huffington Post.

( ME) " military characteristic," what pray tell is that? Military weapons  shoot bullets...that is a "military characteristic"...so any thing that shoots a bullet could be outlawed. So under this bill  All Americans could lose the right to "keep and bear arms...so much for the Bill of Rights and the Constitution.

"Other new provisions include requiring background checks on all future transfers of assault weapons covered under the bill and eliminating the 10-year sunset that allowed the original ban to expire."

(Me) So, if passed, kiss your rights good by forever

Opinion:
Sen. Feinstein may mean well and feel that she is doing good...but she is wrong.

The whole history of the human race proves that when ever the state, or the political creatures that run the state gain the monody of arms the people ...that is you and I are reduced to serfdom.
The people who wrote demanded our BILL OF RIGHTS knew this.
The right of arms has nothing to do with hunting or target shooting, it is meant to PREVENT THE ENSLAVEMENT of the American people.

Time to ask just  just why the Left wants you disarmed?
What have they got planned for you and your family and grand kids that they want you in no position to resist?
 Think about this...whole populations have been sent to the camps and the showers and the Gulags before this.
You may think that that cannot happen here. Ask yourself did you grandparents ever think that we would murder 70,000,000 American babies via abortion?  Did the WW II Marines ever think that a Marine officer would propose marriage to another man in the White house?  I think not.
