All human cultures have used "shame" to mold the social outcome that that culture wants.

Now there was slavery in America and until the end of WW II, racism was considered the norm. Social Darwinism and older human dislike of strangers fed that. That was not limited to the USA all human cultures that I know of have a group or groups that they dislike.
Starting in the 60's most people began to see people as people which was and is a fine thing and
turning from the habits of the past. They looked upon hating people based only on their race as a bad thing which it was.
Pols, with the hunger for power that Bruce the shark has for a swimmer, have taken this good and noble thing, and use it to their own dark ends of gaining power.
The left has a new political club to beat people with: racial code words.
If I say the I cannot find a job and Mr. Obama is president the Left would say that is racist.
If I say that I don't like the tax system and Mr. Obama is president the Left would say that is racist or a racist code.
So if I don't want to be a racist, I can never disagree with the President?
Question? If a woman becomes president and I disagree with her, am I a sexist?
Why is it a noble act of heroic patriotism "be a dissenter" if one person is in office, Mr. Bush, but racist if Mr. Obama is Office?
This applies to black people as well. The media has accused Justice Thomas and Dr. Keyes, both gentlemen of African decent, of being racist for their political disagreement with the left.
Don't be ashamed to think for your self. Americans are and will remain a free people.
