Some have asked if they should argue with their profs or teachers if they disagree. That alas depends on the Prof or teacher. I have had some, few but some, who were to the left of Lenin but were true scholars and respected and encouraged debate as long as you had names dates and facts and would grade not an agreement but merit. I have also had some that tried to shame or ridicule if you disagreed or if they could not dispute a fact, they would FIND grounds to fail you. Those you can tell with a bit of experience and in college you are allowed to change classes. ( it really is smarter to change classes, I tended to stay and argue but be warned. That is a losing game..as the true believer prof simply sees you as a unrepentant sinner)
