I keep reading of the American "democracy" clearly some Social Studies teachers did not do their job.
As any HISTORY teacher knows and so do his or her students, the USA was never meant to be a democracy. WE are a republic where power is shared by the local, state, and federal governments and the federal government, being by its nature the most powerful , was the most feared by it's creators, and so limited by both a system of separation of powers and checks and balances. Democracy is a form of unchecked power. A government where any thing can be done by majority vote. You think that is "cool" right? Ok. the majority decide that having slaves is "cool" so they vote to reconstitute slavery, or perhaps you know ________________ ( fill in the blank with any group you dont like) those haters are always making trouble ..haters...lets send them to reeducation camps!
We can just pass a law..yeah..Hate them haters!
Lets ban_______________(fill in the blank with anything you dont like) it is for the public good and to protect the health of the PEOPLE! I mean, even if what they do does not hurt anyone else, if we all have to pay for public medical service, should we not have the right to prevent some pig from eating or doing that which will make him or her sick and then we gotta pay the medical bills! Their filthy lifestyle cost us money for their care! Who the hell are they to eat or smoke or drink or do that which we think unhealthy?
