A political opinion

This is but an opinion as I have no ear in the DNC but judging by history this is what I would do were i the DNC.
A. Keep all dems in the Congress in lockstep
B. Realize that many in the GOP wanted Jeb and are never Trumpers and Use that to political advantage by playing divide and conquer where possible.
C. Use friends in the media.."anonymous" leaks to distract the voters.
D. Knowing that the GOP tends to be nationalistic..wave the Russian flag. Red flag to a bull thing and plant doubt wherever possible. No matter what; attack and keep attacking president Trump...he must not be allowed to be seen as accomplishing anything.
E. Always always always keep the 2018 and 2020 elections in mind..and play defence..run out the clock till 2018. If parts A, B, C. and D. work as they should. Retake the Congress by 2018 and try for the WH in 2020.
That is what I think Chuck and Nancy are doing.
I also think that there are some "progressive" types in the GOP who would smile on this or at least the get Trump part.
Counter point: There are many good folks in the democratic and republican party that want to see Trump and the USA do well and so if this plan fails and the Dems do not retake the Congress in 2018 or worse from their POV fail to take the WH and Congress in 2020. There will be a profound shift in DNC policy if they do not want to go the way of the Wigs. Perhaps a second era of good feeling? Interesting times
