Bob and Grrr were sitting around the garage..The Hound had gone back to the moor and all was well in the world ,,Well almost.
Taking a drink of his coffee Bob made a face and after a pull at his can of RB so did Grrr,
"Something wrong pal?" Bob asked Grrr.
"UH nothing ole ape why you got something wrong?"
"Me? Naw' how about you?"
"Me nah" replied Grrr
The two pals continued to look at the trees and drink their drinks.
"Ya got any water. pal" asked Grrr
"Since when do you drink water when you got BR?" asked Bob.

"ROAR!!!!!! since the stuff taste lousy and organic!!!" spit Grrr
"Same here"  said Bob as he tossed the contents of his mug on the lawn.

"Just how long is the Hound renting for?? asked an annoyed Bob.
"Come on pal, ya gotta admit you like my pals from the old job."
"of course I like to meet ole movie monsters. Who does not? But there are limits!"
"Vlad the vamp..Andy Ant ..  Bruce..  The Mummy and Lar of wolf man fame. Al  Gator you know they are pals. Admit it ole ape."   replied Grrr

"Ok but how about the time ya had the Blob over and both Seff and Gretta hated the smell and the Zombie.....'

With a "HEY!!!"  Bob and Grrr started to chase each other around the garage.
Hearing the uproar, Stef looked up from her organic tea and said to Gretta. "Seems the boys are at it again." "yes" replied Gretta. "They do so enjoy that!"

Common law means ya sued the bum
This amendment protects your right to sue and to demand a jury if the value of the suit is worth it. 
This is important as there are only two ways to solve problems:
The sword or the court and if a nation is not to fall apart it has to have a way to solve problems.

A.In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial. The state cannot punish an innocent by keeping him or her in jail over long with out trial and that trial must be in public that all may KNOW that it was fair.
B. by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law.
A person cannot not be tried in a far place and by a jury "cherry-picked' by the state.
C. and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him;   a person accused has the right to KNOW the charge, so he or she may answer it and see and question those who accuse.
D. to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.
A person has the right to present witnesses in his or her defense and to have a person skilled in law to defend or advise.

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

This Amendment is also in several parts:

A. No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury,

No person, except in the military  in time of war. May be charged with at major crime simply at the word of an official, the case must go to a grand jury.   (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_jury)  at bottom that is a group of citizens who must weight the merits of the case before charges can be made, It is a check on the power of the  state.

In time of war..this may be skipped and a military court act.

B. Nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice

You cannot keep  trying that person till you get the decision you want as was sometimes done in Europe.

C. nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, 

You cannot torture a person into confessing. There have been cases were a person was tricked into confession and that in some cases has been ruled legal.

D. nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; 

 ( You have the right to a lawyer and if you say anything but your name without one. Good Luck)

E. nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

While private property may be taken  for public use, The person MUST be paid the market price.

Now (C)since 9/11 Terrorists have been waterboarded. that was considered legal by some as a act of war.  But no law was passed and the issue is still be debated.

Now (B)  there have been cases where a person got off on a crime and another charge was brought. There has been some debate on if that was an infringement that is also being debated.

"We always go to the "Organic tea" for lunch and than the mall Bob" said Stef  "and Grrr' put in Gretta need new things. Would you like to join us?""I would love to Kal is the same way he will wear that same old suit...I have told him that it is long out of style but..."  Exchanging the "wife look" the three ladies nodded in agreement.

Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

So the police local or the Feds cannot just search your person or home or car without a court order UNLESS you give permission. The courts have ruled that the "Frisk" upon arrist is not a unlawful search. But any other search is. Nor can they "seize what they will..(now I have read, I am an constitution teacher not a lawyer, so check with a lawyer,) if an illegal item is is plain sight it may be taken.

Amendment III

No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

British troops were only allowed the use of roof, fire and salt. Any thing else had to be agreed on and paid for and except in enemy territory and sometimes even there British military law  was strict and enforced..of course there were exceptions, but that was frowned upon and it was considered cheaper for the crown and the town than building army barracks. So why the problem in 1776 and not say in 1758?
Simple In 1776 the Americans felt that the British troops could and would act as spies in their homes. After all if you have a redcoat or two in the house,it is not healthy to say you are mad at the king or that you support the revolution! So as the Americans considered their home their castle, an idea we got from the Brits, this, (quartering) was seen as a grave assault  of the right of the  Private home.

The Mummy???

Seems like Cthulhu liked the shooting and the visit with Bob and Grrr but as he said "A Great old one has responsibles" So he had to go back to the deeps.
Bob and Grrr had just come back from their run and were siting down to Coffee and RB. Yeah. they knew that the pitcher  of iced distilled lemon water was more "healthy"   but  the Girls were in the house..they were in the garage. 
 There was a polite knock on the door and a old guy wearing a set of  Savile Row gray tweeds and a fez  "I do beg your pardon for disturbing you chaps. But I was told by Vlad that I was expected..my card".. 
 The card read K. Laga....Egypt.
Looking at the card Bob and Grrr both said.  "Are you the Klagga?  Welcome indeed."
"I have some ana leaf tea..we were expecting you"  Grrr said.
"As a life long student of history, it is an honor to meet you sir." Said Bob

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

This one is easy:
How do you tell the rulers through out all of human history?
Simple
They are the ones with the arms.
The men who wrote our Constitution ( and yes oh pc they were men and oh horrors! white men) knew from reading history and personal experience that governments could turn bad. Recall that they had grown to manhood loving the king and thinking themselves British people living in HRH American Colonies.
If the KING could order the Royal army or navy to fire on British people living in America and they obey; that government and Army and Navy  could simply not be trusted and if the KING's government  could not be Trusted NO government could be trusted. They were not too worried about the town or even the state government; local people had control of those BUT the Federal Government?? If we could not trust the king and Parliament, why in the heck would we TRUST them??  So. It was clear. If the people were to remain free, the PEOPLE had to maintain the right of arms. At the time we were one of the few nations where the people were better armed than the government's  army.
We still are...

I know some point to shootings by nuts and say "It is dangerous  and it is; or that times and weapons have changed and so they have. But the human heart and the love of power has not changed. Power may only be checked by power.....simple

My plan (again)

I favor a path to citizenship as the best thing

A. Secure the border.

B. if the illegal is working, not on welfare, and has no record, they get a month to sign up. If they have family and they, the family, are not employed but YOU ( the candidate) will sponsor them, old folks, wife at home etc..they are covered. BUT they must also pass step E.

C. Anyone found working without the card after the month is deported and the people that employed them fined: $100 per day for an individual and $1000 a day for a firm with 1 year in jail for the second conviction.

D. The now legal guest worker must get FULL American rates of pay and benefits, we will have no serf class in this free land.

E.They must: learn English, American History and Constitution, renounce all foreign allegiance and pass the citizenship test with in 5 years.

"Brother Grrr!  The coin of Balance will only keep a balance if your karma is pure as it would be if you were trying to aid a being.  Should it be used for any lesser goal the rule of 3 would result and the karma of that poor being would be bad indeed.

Well.  Grrr borrowed  The coin of Balance and  the 4 had a grand day!  It seemed, to the surprise of all, that Cthulhu was a very good shot indeed but most surprising of all was that :  HP carried the day with a score of 248 out of a possible 250 !!!!!!!
As Grrr returned  The coin of Balance to Flower he said Kid"Do ya...I mean..ah"  "Brother Grrr would I want that Diet RB that showed up at your cave? Of course" 
"Flower I ah hadda try it ...I." said Grrr with a sheepish T Rex gin.

Condtitution 101 BORs.

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Let us look at the Bill of Rights.

Amendment 1 has three parts:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.

1. The fact is that all people must die and if you believe in an afterlife as most Americans did and do. That afterlife goes on forever. So logic would make clear that duration  alone would make the afterlife the most important. it had been made clear( the 30 years war 1615  to 1645) that people would go to war over religion and that governments  would try to establish a state religion, So as the decisions that effect your afterlife were of great importance; in fact many came to the US for religious freedom, the People wanted to insure that the Federal government had NO power over religion..the fed cannot make or forbid a religion.

2.  "abridging the freedom of speech" The federal government may not restrict freedom of political speech  or publishing (now posting as well) I say political becouse if you simply call or publish or post that  Joe or Mary are  bad you can find your self in court. But if you say, publish or post,  I support or oppose  Mr Obama  or Mr Trump; people may not like or agree with it but there is NOTHING the Fed may do about it.

3. or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
The people who wrote the Bill of Rights knew that the PEOPLE from time to time would want the federal government to do or not do things and in order to allow their voice to be heard with out Civil War, the people required the right to assemble peaceably..(as people have more political power in a group) it was felt more political power, and ask the Government to correct what we the people see as problems.
Again this was done as a way to prevent CIVIL WAR by giving the people a peaceful way control the government.

Opinion: I think the new cult of secular humanism IS the new state religion of the PC. Again that is simply my OPINION.

"Trust Doc. He mostly knows what he is dong." said Grrr and Bob and the ladies nodded in agreement.
So Vlad called up his brother Boris and asked him to come over to Grrr's cave. Meanwhile Flower, Stef and Gretta went to get Dr H's other client.
As Boris arrived, the ladies human and dino returned with a  striking  lady vampire wearing a red bay watch bathing suit.
Boris, who was of course wearing his read swimming lifeguard trunks,  was  stunned by her.
"I ..am..I am sorry to interrupt but Dr H and Flower  know of my dream and they said that perhaps it was possible.."She said locking eyes with Boris, who, truth to be told, was the very ideal of the handsome vampire.
Clicking his heels and bowing in the best euro tradition; Boris said " I am yours to command lovely child of the night!  What is your dream"?
"I am Pamela ....Pamela Von Falkenfine.  I have longed... since I was ..always wanted to..you must not mock me"??? 
"Never!" replied Boris.
"I have always longed to swim but I have never dared..I.."Pamela said.
"I am also Nosferatu as such I understand and I am also a trained life guard. I would be most honored to train and watch over you."
"You ..you would not leave me????" asked Pamela  
"Never! on my honor as a nobleman!" replied Boris 
As he and Pamela locked eyes  the world disappeared. As they started to leave for the Creature's pool, Vlad asked his brother. "Boris what of the tan?"   "Brother that was but an idle vanity! This is duty!" Assuming bat form the two undead touched wings and flew off to the pool.
"Doctor H..You did it" said a grateful Vlad. "Told ya the old boy knew his stuff!" roared Grrr.
"Thank you but it was simply a issue of two beings able to fill each others dreams..I uh..since I met Flower  have some   experience in ur that  area!

Constitutional 101 The judicial Branch

The third branch of the Federal government is the judicial Branch.
The Federal courts:

 The job of the Federal courts is to handle disputes with foreign nations on land or sea...disputes between the states, oversee  the military   courts  (federal service)  or to settle questions that bear on the Constitution.

The major role of the American Court system  is to ensure fair play in court under the law and it is the duty of the judge to see that that happens.

Now since Marshall, the court has taken to itself the idea of a English Judge name of Coke; that of Judicial Review( look up Marbury vs Madision  1803) Marshall gave the case to Madison by saying the law that Marbury based his case on was unconstitutional and therefor void.
Now there is NOTHING in the Constitution that gives the Court that power but hey as Jefferson won he let it pass. (Now if you think Judicial a good power  pass an amendment in my view)

Courts and lawyers are very important ( I know we love lawyer jokes) without courts and lawyers, whom the people trust in,   the only way to settle major issues is civil war.

In support of my view  NONE have been able to point to a line or word in the Constitution that supports the  Judicial Branch having that power. I say the "the Constitution is a legal document that says what it says and does not say what it does not say>"

As they got to Grrr's cave..Grrr and Dr H consulted as Flower and Gretta talked to a very worked up  Vlad. " You must balance your center and find oneness!" Said  Flower .
 Stef gave Gretta a questioning look. Gretta  said "She has been like that since Dinostock."  "Oh" replied Stef
Dr H walked over to Vlad and said "I may have just the thing. In fact it may be that ur  that is Boris may be of great service to a gentle being  that.."  
 "Dr. H. that is all very well and helping is a good thing but Boris mine brother  I..."
"Pamela  is a gentle soul that needs help and her..." 
"But Dr. I ....." 
"My uh dear Vlad  it is always by helping that one is helped..and Pamela is a person that needs aid ..you see, From what I have heard your brother and her may be the cure of each other."
